Who We Are

Transforming Lives Through Practical Education

St. Michael Skill Trade College was established on the 18th of December 2021 with a clear and powerful vision: to provide excellent educational opportunities that are responsive to the needs of young Nigerians, and to empower them to become active participants in shaping the future of their country and the world.

Our first centre opened at Yenawa/Afoliho, Ajido Ascon Road, Badagry Local Government, Lagos State, Nigeria. Since then, we have grown into a recognised institution serving hundreds of students across 18 trade departments.

We are promoted by international corporate personnel, inspired by global practices and standards, and built with highly equipped practical and technical workshops to ensure every student receives hands-on training that prepares them for real careers and entrepreneurship.

Our programs are designed with one goal in mind: to make Nigeria's young people industry-ready — giving them skills, confidence, and the independence to build sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their communities.

Milestones & Growth

2012

College Established

St. Michael Skill Trade College is officially founded at Yenawa/Afoliho, Ajido Ascon Road, Badagry Local Government, Lagos State, Nigeria by Chief Engr. Dr. Michael Sonayon Kunnuji.

2013

First Graduating Class

The college celebrates its first cohort of graduates in Welding & Fabrication, Electrical Engineering, and Fashion Designing — launching careers and businesses across Lagos State.

2016

Expansion of Programs

Department offerings expand to 18 trade programs covering technical, creative, digital, and hospitality disciplines — making St. Michael one of the most comprehensive skill trade colleges in the region.

2019

Workshop Facility Upgrade

Major investment in practical training facilities — new welding bays, fashion design studios, computer labs, and a dedicated auto engineering workshop are commissioned.

2022

500+ Graduates Milestone

The college surpasses 500 graduates, with alumni operating businesses, employing apprentices, and contributing to communities across Nigeria and internationally.

2024

Digital Expansion & Web Presence

St. Michael launches a modernised web presence, online admissions, and a scholarship programme to widen access to quality vocational education for underserved Nigerian youth.
